Lorne MichaelsĀ (bornĀ Lorne David Lipowitz; November 17, 1944) is a Canadian and American television and film producer, comedian, screenwriter and director. He created and producedĀ Saturday Night LiveĀ (1975ā1980, 1985āpresent) and produced theĀ Late NightĀ series (since 1993),Ā The Kids in the HallĀ (from 1989 to 1995), andĀ The Tonight ShowĀ (since 2014).
