David's acting career began in 2017 when he played the lead role of Steven Knight in the student short film The Fence. The film gained popularity on social media platform Youtube and went on to win the British International Film Festival's British Lion Award. Following its success, The Fence was adapted into a full-length feature film with the same title. The film was released in 2022, and David reprised his role as Steven Knight in the movie while garnering widespread praise for his performance.
