After years of traveling the land performing operas, the seasoned Lao Jixiang Troupe faces a crisis when their star performer Zhuo Ran loses his lover Kong Yu in a tragic accident during one of their adventures. Devastated, Zhuo Ran abandons the troupe. Years later, he is forced to return when a fellow member is struck by a mysterious poison. To find the antidote, Zhuo Ran must lead the troupe on a perilous journey filled with bizarre occurrences and unforeseen dangers.
