Biography
Patti LaBelle, born Patricia Louise Holte, is an American singer, actress, and author who rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead singer of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles. The group later changed their name to Labelle and released the iconic disco hit “Lady Marmalade”, which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. LaBelle became a solo star in 1984 with the success of singles like “If Only You Knew” and “New Attitude”.
